Start adding citations!

A Citation is an entry into a SNiPiTRON research project. A citation can be a web page, a file (photo, music, spreadsheet, PDF, etc...), source code, or just rich formatted text. You can add citations to your projects via the browser buttons as well as typing in the information directly. Make sure you download and install our browser buttons to make creating citations a snap.

  1. Add a web citation by surfing to a website and then clicking ‘Add to SNiPiTRON’

    Click ‘Add to SNiPiTRON’.



  2. To add your citation to a new research project:

    You need to create a project to store the citation.
    Search tags are a way to organize your content
    Set permissions and then click ‘Create Project’.



  3. Or, to add the citation to an existing project:

    Select project from the dropdown or click ‘New’ to create a new project.
    You can also attach a file to this citation
    You can save the citation and then view the project or continue to surf the site where you were.






  4. Your updated research project shows your newly added citation. In this page, you can format your content or add more citations such as web links, files, photos, rich formatted text, source code, etc.

    Click ‘Add Citation’ to add web links, files, source code, or rich formatted text.



  5. Files such as documents, zip files, pdf's, photos, mp3's, videos, or other file types can be attached to a citation:

    Select ‘file’ then click ‘Browse’ to locate the file on your computer.




    The file has been uploaded.
