Group Projects
SNiPiTRON includes a powerful Private Group feature which allows you to collaborate on a research project. Here's how it works:
- Create Project
When you create a new research project, select "Private" permissions. A section will appear to the right which allows you to add other users to your project by email address, username or from your existing friends list:
If you add an email address to the access list, that person will get an email invitation to join the project. As soon as they register, they will be automatically provided access to your project. If you add an email address of an existing SNiPiTRON user, they will be sent an email notification with a link to your project.
- Adding and removing access on the fly
On your project page, click on "Project Settings":
and you'll see a similar form:
When you click "Save Settings", any new users will be immediately notified via email.
- Keeping track of who is viewing your project
On your project page, click on "Pagetrack":
and you'll see a list of when your group accessed your project:

When you login to SNiPiTRON, you'll see a new tab called "Groups". This is
where you'll find projects from other users that you belong to:
